I have heard about and read about Houston's Art Car Parade for years. Now, I have the chance to go and see it and work in a visit with Andrew at the same time. I left rather early and got to Andrew's apartment about 10:30. He greeted me with a Mother's Day card and a bouquet of beautiful pink tulips. Then, he had made a special treat for me, homemade cheese fondue. i really enjoyed it with the crisp green apple.

We left for the parade about two hours before it began so we could get a good seat. We situated our bag chairs under a shade-tree and had perfect weather for sitting out. We thoroughly enjoyed the parade. There were 303 entries. The only way to tell about the entries is through pictures. I hope you enjoy the photo parade!

After the parade we enjoyed lunch and a shopping trip to REI. Andrew and Katherine are going together to get me a water-proof jackets to take to Europe this summer. We found the perfect selection.
