#34 5/15/2012 We started our day with the Bush Beans Factory tour. You don't actually get to go into the factory, they show you a very informative film. Then you get to tour a museum that they have set up. It was very interesting to see. It was very nice, they took our picture with "Duke" for free. Nice to get something for free for a change, the tour was free as well. The people there were all very nice and polite, like they really enjoyed their jobs! It was very refreshing for a change. Next I spotted a covered bridge sign. I always have to stop at them and check them out. This one was very nice. We then headed over to The Great Smokey Mountains National Park. We took the long way around to get in so we could end up back in Pigeon Forge. It was a nice trip. We really enjoyed seeing the park. We tried to walk up Clingman's Dome, 6634 feet. We drove up there, we took a few pictures and started to head up and ran into some people that said you couldn't see anything when you got to the top because the clouds were too low, so we stopped at the visitors center for a few minutes instead. By the time we came out we were also fogged in and so was the parking lot! I guess the fog and clouds move in fast up there. Anyway, we drove back down into the park and enjoyed the rest of the trip. Tomorrow we move on to Nashville. 146 miles today
