Day 4 - Rome

Ok so I lied. No pictures coming. For some reason the iPad doesn't support picture for mytripjournal..WHAAAA!

I'll start day 4 with a question. What's with the Roman's and no straight roads (at least in ancient Rome). You'll see what I mean when you see the pictures. We are staying in an area called 'the Jewish Ghetto' and I think the Jewish people who built here tried to made the Romans think they were stupid and couldn't draw a straight line!

Kinda cool today. About 23C but quite breezy. K had to wear a light jacket but not too uncomfortable.

Pretty busy day. Started off by walking to the Pantheon (we walk everywhere). Again words can't describe what is there. My pictures probably won't help either. It ALMOST makes one think about turning religious (I said almost).

Then off to the Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps and, after the Pantheon, the most amazing site for the day, the Trevi Fountain. Again big WOW! Could those old guys ever sculpt! Almost makes one become an artist (if one had any talent).

Stopped in a few churches on our way to the National Museum...very ornate ( and quiet). Got all the way to the museum and found out it's closed on Monday...yay. Decided to pop down to the Santa Maria Maggiore church where Andy said was pretty amazing interior...it was closed for reno's...yay.

Finally found a Cafe/Bar that had wireless thus the couple updates yesterday.

Off to the Vatican tomorrow and we'll probably try the National Museum again.

Ciao for now.
