Day 2 Sea Lake to Mildura
What 'brass monkey weather' it was last nite. We got down to 2 degs and having no access to power, hence no heating it was a bit chilly. Mind you Steve was quite happy for me to have a quick shower, which incidentally was nice and hot, but when it was his turn he went out and put the generator on so that he could have the heater going....... hmm there's a word for that!!!
Our journey today was in vast contrast weather-wise to yesterday. We had clear blue skies and small wispy clouds. Our distance to travel today was less than 200km which is only half of what we did yesterday.
The small towns we passsed thru have so much charm, with the wide verhandas and often wide streets. The centre of town is usually the pub, and these towns were no different.
Gus and Jan we stayed at the same caravan park we took you to in Mildura on the banks of the Murray river. It is still just as accessable, the grass around our vans is very green and of course its clean and friendly. There is actually a few more patrons in the park at this time of year than when we were hear last time, but its far from crowded, hense we have plenty of room to manouver our vans. Gus we haven't spotted our friends possums in the tree this time, and we're practically on the same spot we were with you both.
Denise and I took a run across the river and into town (the FPA camp we are in is actually on the NSW side of the river) while the boys went off to find some help regarding the recently installed air-bags in the back springs of the Jeep. Gosh this sarga just goes on and on.......having just had a replacement air-bag installed the day before we left and it wasn't keeping its pressure you can well imagine Steve was not impressed. Anyway all is well now and we're back on track.
Happy Birthday Louisa, hope its a special day wherever you are in Europe
