I've completed 2 more projects. Both scarves. What I love about knitting is the same as cooking. You don't have to follow a recipe. All you need is ingredients and a few basic instructions and you can create all kinds of things. I picked up some yarn in the Philippines. It doesn't come in a ball or scheme but in in small plastic bag. I wasn't sure how much to buy so I got 6 of them. I used 3. I made a scarf for a team members wife that did not go to the Philippines. This is her husbands 6th visit. I wanted her to have a piece of the Philippines and it allowed me pray for her specifically while I made it.

I gave the other scarf to Barb Elsesser. I made it in memory of my mom in her favorite color purple. Barb was such a blessing to our family when my mom and Mee Maw were with us. Care givers do need respite and Barb was the best at giving me a break and loving my family in the process.

I'm currently working on a shawl. I'm using the size 19 needles Carol Fry gave me. I love them cuz the end product is light and airy. I don't know who on our journey will receive it so I pray generically. It's a little harder for me not knowing the needs of the person.
