| Well, one more done for the bucket list! Saw the Eagles live in concert @ the Jazz Fest. Didn't know if I still had it in me to make it through a 88F day with humidity even higher. Had to endure about 6 hrs. in the elements (heat & sun)& managed to get up close & personal (didn't need binoculars!) to see them. We were only about 6 people deep from barricade in front of stage. I guess this ole gal still has a little bit of gitupandgo in her. We had to miss Herbie Hancock because he was playing at the same time on a different stage. Tomorrow its Bonnie Raitt and the Neville Bros. 4 days of heat, humidity & crowds. Like I say, I didn't know I still had it in me! Listened to Irma Thomas before Eagles, & like she said, you don't perspire in Nawlins, you sweat in Nawlins. I've been sweating in places that I didn't know you could sweat from! |
