So the dumpster bike is a POS...it rolls but doesn't shift, the back wheel is bent. It'll be going back into a dumpster....or I'll give it to somebody who REALLY needs a bike.
Ivory's bike is a tad too small for her. All adjusted out, but the frame is just not quite big enough.
I bought another bike for myself yesterday....found it on Craig's List...this one is a home run...mountain bike, runs perfectly, ten years old, original cost about $600, I bought it for $50. Now got to find a deal like that for Ivory.
Visited a laundry yesterday, ate ice cream while they did the duds. We were in the town of Mansfield, about 12 miles away. Very neat looking place, we will explore it later.
Today on the way to the Finger Lakes area of New York with our workamper friends Destiny and Truly. Weather cloudy and cool but no rain expected. Supposed to be a flea market and garage sale area. Will be looking for a bike and who knows?...maybe an interesting rifle or shotgun.
Will take some pictures today.
The people who live in this area are just beat down. Some making money from selling mineral rights to the frackers, but most just beat down....worn out clothes, cars, houses and teeth. Yesterday was told that the minerals in the water in this area are one of the reasons for all the lost teeth.....think I'll stick to beer.
