The past couple of days has been busy with second-round calls to insurance companies, finding out the claims adjuster for the motorhome is in OHIO. Glen called him this morning, finding out he has been trying to get in touch with us by email.
The problem...he has an incorrect email address. You spell it and spell it, and they still get it wrong.
As of now a local auto adjuster is coming Monday morning to take a video of the damage to the motorhome to send to the Ohio adjuster. Tuesday Glen takes the pick up to a local body shop.
In a separate issue, Glen will be taking the pick up to the GMC dealer Monday morning to find the cause of the engine "missing"--not running smoothly.
Still not solved is another separate issue of the dash air conditioning system on the motorhome. When we were at our daughter's the end of March Glen had it checked. Freon was added to they a/c as well as dye. In this much warmer weather we are aware the a/c is not blowing cold air. This may have to wait until the schedule is more clear.
This next Thursday we are taking Ashlynn and Zade, ages 5 and 3, with us in the motorhome for a round of visits with "Aunt Trisha", our daughter; and then on to my mother's..Ashlynn and Zade's great-grandmother. Darin and Sarah are going to enjoy some "free" days! We will be gone about ten days.
Who will miss the other the most? Mom and Dad, or the kids???
Glen has worked steadily on the outdoor deck project for our son. The plans are to get it finished tomorrow morning. Only flat surfaces are left to finish. Flat goes much faster than spindles! :}
Have a wonderful week end!
