Tuesday we left Eureka Springs to drive to Branson in Missouri our 34th State, not a very long journey about 1.5 hours, bit narrow on country roads in places. We kept seeing Turtles/Tortoises on the road some very tiny ones half way across busy roads, one lost its life thanks to Wal it was quite a big one we heard it go crunch but could not swerve the RV to miss it. I cannot see how any of them get across safely.
On arrival in Branson we noticed all the damaged buildings found out a Tornado hit Branson on the 29th Feb 2012 nobody killed but quite widespread damage 2 theatres out of business & several hotels plus quite a few businesses have relocated.
Later that day we drove to Table Rock State Park and walked the trail around part of the lake 4.5 miles in all, too hot it was in the 80’s but also very humid. Saw a snake in the water plus turtles. We had to go to Golden Corral for Wal to get his fix!!
Wednesday off to the shops then walk along Lake Taneycomo in the old part of Branson even hotter today was glad to go in & out of shops to cool off.
Thursday we enjoyed Free Pancake breakfast at the campsite then headed out to watch a show Cajun & Country music at The God & Country Theatre. Quick drink then off on the Branson Scenic Railway for 1.5 hours was not as good as we had hoped.
Friday we are moving on again no wifi at our campsite for 5 days but might be able to use it in the office at the campground. We are driving to Springfield first to get the rest of our repairs carried out on the RV, both problems are things that the last repair shop broke but they are picking up the bill after I called them.
It is hitting the 90,s most days & very humid as well.
