This morning I saw Dr. Harris again. He injected six points on my spine with a combination of four pain-killing drugs. Today I have to make a note every hour until bedtime about my level of pain and then twice daily until next Thursday, when I have a follow-up visit. At that time he'll decide whether to go to the next step of cauterizing the nerves.
My ophthalmologist called this afternoon to tell me that my eyelid surgery has been approved by Medicare. The surgery is scheduled for Thursday, June 28 at Bailey Square Medical Center. My primary care doctor has to certify that I'm healthy enough for the surgery; so that probably means that I'll have to see him for a physical exam. I don't yet know what time the surgery will be; that is to be decided later.
I've submitted some of my photos to photography contests conducted by Texas Highways/Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the Texas Farm Bureau. Maybe someday one will be selected. There are small cash prizes.
