We left Valdosta heading west and south to Chattahoochee, FL and Eastbank COE Campground on Lake Seminole. Lake Seminole is actually in Georgia but to get to Eastbank you have to enter from the Florida side....no roads in Georgia go to the campground.

Eastbank is a nice COE park. It has 3 loops....two which sit on the lake's shore and a 3rd they sits back from the lake. The third loops campsites looked short and they were all dirt pads. Our site #21 was a concrete pad and patio....really nice. However, its shape was really weird. It was shaped like one side of a hexagon......3 short sides....we got parked by taking the sway bars off otherwise we would not have been able to unhitch.

We kicked back and just enjoyed being. Visiting with our neighbors....one couple fulltimers for 6 years are headed to workcamp in Kentucky and the other snowbirders from Michigan just hanging out until it gets warmer at home. Our weather was perfect. One morning we saw 3 alligators swimming in the lake! So the lake doesn't seem to be used by ski boats or swimmers! However, there were many fishing boats.

The sunsets were awesome the 3 nights we were at Eastbank. And the night skies were dark enough that you could see many constellations and stars. Eastbank is a great campground and we will certainly visit it again in our travels.

Well, after 3 days it was time to head another 100 miles south. More later. Thanks for traveling with us.
