Arrived in New Orleans today about 4:30 p.m. & have just gotten settled into room. It's an old home that is run by a hotel. We have a room on the 2nd floor with a balcony that overlooks the street. ya, this is the way I remember it. Sorta a young persons place, kinda artsy fartsy, with an air to discovering ones self if you are an artsy fartsy person or musically inclined. Laid back. A great place to take an evening stroll after supper and a few glasses of wine. :).......off to Jazz Festival tomorrow......don't let the name misguide you...there's blues, jazz, rock 'n roll, gospel, cajun, & other genre's that I don't know how to describe! Hope it doesn't rain because the fairgrounds where they hold the event will turn into a mud hole if it does. Think I'll wear my crocs, they're pretty well indestructible!
