We moved to Arm of Gold Campground in Little Bras d’Or and went off to explore the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site. A bus ride transports you to the site where you go back in time to this recreated 1745 town with actors dressed in period costumes. There is impressive displays of activities and the lifestyle during this time. Interpreters are in all the buildings to tell stories and talk about daily life in that era. A short distance away is the Louisbourg Lighthouse, Canada’s first lighthouse built in 1731.
We drove over to Sydney for supper, ate at restaurant near the cruise ship terminal that boasts the worlds largest fiddle.
