We had rather a frustrating day’s sailing as what little wind there was in the morning kept changing direction although it picked up in the afternoon. There were lovely views of the Sierra Nevada as we approached Benalmadena, with snow on the highest peak. When we contacted the marina, they said there was no room as they had a boat show coming up, but they finally managed to find us a berth on the outer wall. It wasn’t very comfortable as the wind direction meant that the swell came right in through the marina entrance and we were only just inside. It’s the first time Jane has felt seasick when moored in a marina! 19 nautical miles in 5 hours.
