10 days until our departure date! Dylan has had his operation and is spending our last preparation days on the couch! That leaves all the jobs to me and I seem to be busy enough just with the general housework! So it is hard to see at this stage that we will ever be ready to leave! Mum keeps reminding me that we are not going away to a deserted island, there will be shops, and I dont need to worry so much about forgeting things. A helpful reminder!
Anna is now 6 months old, 9kgs and almost sitting on her own. We will be able to put her car seat in forward facing, giving me more room to put my seat back and not have my knees kissing the dash! I've decided to ditch the bumbo seat which i was planning to use as her portable high chair which gives me lots of spare space and instead use the type that hang from the table. Max asks everyday to go camping in the 'cannacan', he may be dissapointed with the first few nights being spent inside at great grandma's house.
Tonight I made up a spreadsheet that we can use to calculate cost for fuel and accommodation as well as tracking distance travelled, number of nights in 'free camps' etc.
Roof rack and high lift jack have been put on the navara and we now have our sun shade walls for the caravan awning. Final preparations are to pack our personal belongings into the navara and van, tidy up the house/yard (sounds simple, ha!)and then we should be right to hit the road and go live the dream until further notice!!!!!
Looking forward to catching up with friends and family and showing them our set up this weekend at our going away arvo.
