We drove only 75 miles to Ho Hum RV park, a very nice small RV park right on the Gulf, though we weren't in a water view site, we were only 250 feet from the gulf, we walked on the beach with Houston and met a lot of nice people and really are thinking about coming back for a longer stay. What a great time. We found a wonderful restaurant right on the river, Fish Camp Restaurant, the food was excellent (oysters on half shell, grouper, catfish and hush puppies). It was so good we ate there twice. We drove to a small town called Sochoppy, it was sad to see this town's stores closed especially since it use to be a very vibrant Shrimping town. The town holds an annual "Worm Gruntin" festival. Work Gruntin is where you put a stick in the ground rub it with another stick and get the worms to come to the surface, this is how worm as gathered in order to sell them for fishing bait.
