Hi All,

Well the relaxing, soothe the soul, calm your energetic self, mode has finally set in for the two of us. It has been five days since my last entry. For the past six years our vacations have been filled with lots of activity and adventure....this year we are both is total chill mode. We get up early and go to bed early ( ok, that's not that different for me at home). We decided that if we wake up and feel adventurous we will seek out a crazy activity to occupy our day.

We had wonderful time in Koh Samui, but it seems we both may have a caught a bit of a bug or "Thai Belly"(not sure there really is such a thing). I will tell you one thing, it's great for ensuring you have a nice flat stomach anyway....

We rented a bike and toured the entire island of Koh Samui. The "Great Gazzoo" as Tom would call me(I attached a picture)...pulled a stupid move and burnt my leg on the exhaust pipe of the motorcycle. Safety first....I had shoes on, but was wearing shorts. Smooth move eh? Shannon, I know you feel for me...right? The day we headed out was the Koh Samui Triathalon. Lots of activity and excitment. The race was around the entire island. You have to hand to these competitors. The race commenced at 7:30am and the temp was already at 30c...CRAZY. We stopped a few silly tourist spots(not for long though), then landed at the Beach Republic. A really cool beach bar/restaruant/pool hangout...it had a real South Beach- Miami feel to it...lots of richy riches hanging out.(us not included).

We left Koh Samui and headed to Koh Tao three days ago. This place is really like coming home for us. This is the place were I did my PADI dive certification in 2006. We also came in 2009, and now again this year. This place is so laid back and casual- we love it. Dressing up for dinner is putting a t-shirt over your bathing suit. We are staying at Koh Tao Cabana's in an amazing villa. This is our third time here and each time the resort has gotten bigger and bigger. It didn't have a pool the last time, now a very cool upper and lower with waterfalls. We found a great pizza place that we can buy some really good red wine from. Last night's dinner- cheese, fruit, crackers, olives and homemade bread- SWEET!

We also rented a motorcycle for the duration of our time on this island- best way to get around. Two days ago we toured part of the island and found some great look out points. This island is very hilly in many areas, the roads are horrendous ( we have a dirt bike, so do ok). We met up with this little family that lived at one of the lookouts and sold cold drinks and coconuts- the kids were great fun. We have adopted many animals on this trip (actually one sweet little bull dog cross is in our room as we type(don't tell). She was wimpering at the deck door...I just had to let her in. Must just be my animal magnatism....Right!

Tomorrow we will head to another small island nearby. The beaches are amazing and they have a zip line set up there. I had the most amazing massage today. They use seaweed covered in soft cotton, the steam the little package -using that, with hot massage oil.....just heaven and all done by a very sweet tiny little Thai girl. They know massage in this country.

Well, must dress for dinner...what t-shirt should I wear over my bathing suit???? Hope everyone is well. Hard to believe we only have one week left...where has the time gone.

Final departing remarks for now...

Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.
