Life around Sloan's Pond Apr 15, 2012

There aren't many ponds or lakes in the area, so this one is notable. There is a boardwalk that goes around the pond. I thought I had seen all I was going to see with a pair of Canadian Geese, but when a girl told me to take my camera to the little dock and see the frog and snake, I had to check it out. They were hard to find at first, but once I found one snake, I looked around and found three of them! Brice later told me the pond will be swarming with them, so I won't be as enthusiastic to go then! I'm told to watch out for rattlers while pulling garlic mustard plants, and I sure hope I don't see one!
