Brussels

Today we decided to have a relaxing day. We got up late and after breakfast walked to a Camping/Outdoor store nearby which we were attracted to by the large map of New Zealand on the outside wall. On closer inspection we were amused at both the shape of our country and the spelling of some of the place names. After a little shopping there we went on to the Carrefour supermarket. This was our first visit to one of these stores and we were surprised of the range of goods on offer. You can buy just about anything! We only had a short shopping list but came away with several impulse buys – including a new carry-on case for the trip home. It helped us to get our surplus purchases back to Homer!

We had roast beef for dinner before Greg and Robyn joined us on their way back from Antwerp and we had a few wines together.
