Silverstarnd State Park Beach

We are definitely getting plenty of sleep this trip. Go to bed at 9:30 and we don’t awake until 6:30 or 7:30. Must be all of the fresh air!

Beautiful morning on the beach and just cool enough to need a windbreaker. Bob sat on the beach and read while I tried to work. Had to run the generator as low on electricity. For some reason the fridge is not working on propane so we have it attached to the battery. Probably sucks up a lot of power. I had a lot of difficulty with office connectivity with nearly everything taking twice as long to accomplish. Very frustrating!

Road the bikes into the Coronado Ferry Landing (about 11 miles return). Just a picture perfect day. Had lunch at a “not so special” pizza place on the water. Bob had pasta and I had a Mediterranean salad of tomatoes, cukes, olives, onions and feta. View made up for it.

Did some grocery shopping for dinner and picked up the NYT….Bob has found reading it on the iPad is not as enjoyable. Came home after three hours to find Pepper still asleep! He has much more daily activity than when at home. Perhaps the fresh air is affecting him too!

I had work to do but still miserable connections. Spent a very frustrating balance of the afternoon in front of the computers and iPhone. On top of it all, I broke my glasses. Think they may be repairable and hope so, because my back up is not as good. At least we are not in the desert and should have some luck in finding someone to repair them.

For dinner tonight we are having a southwestern salad with tomatoes, avocado and grilled chicken strips. Dressing is a spicy chipotle pepper. Our last bottle of Ridge! 2002 Nervo zin.

I am looking forward to reading my book tonight. (Rules of Civility) and perhaps catching up on crosswords. Bob might make it through the NYT.

Anza Borrego tomorrow.
