My four month adventure has started!!!! After a painful 20 hours in transit I am finally here. My first time to travel alone. I have always wanted to put myself out there and see how I deal with being out of my comfort zone. I am naturally introverted, and for me this is huge step. Hopefully I can grow as a person and make some genuine friends.
I have talked to alot of people so far so its a good start ...
SO my first stop is Santiago and I have to say it isn't impressing me too much just yet. It may be because I am tired and have huge expectations for my trip. But Santiago I'll give you a good while longer before I make my mind up.
I now know that I can pass for a south American. So many locals are talking to me in espanol (even asking me for directions). I think my 10 weeks of beginner spanish wont be enough to get me through this trip. I will look into more Spanish classes while I am here in Santiago.
I can't wait for night to come for me to sleep. I am staying awake until nightfall to adjust my body-clock.
