Beach Day ~ Peter, the negotiator, worked his magic in finding us the taxi driver with the most knowledge of English by tricking them all with questions and eliminating the ones who gave the I correct answers. He asked "what day is tomorrow?" he got funny answers like "10 o'clock". We ended up with Ayub a pleasant young man. We asked to be driven along the beach coast making stops at various places. Our first stop was a typical beach that locals would go to,this is where we say sacred cows laying around - I thought that was so funny! Next we were taken to a new resort called Raddison Blu. It was nice, but not nearly as nice as the next stop The Leela - a 5* resort by the Kempinski Group. Did I mention that any time you enter one of these gated resorts, before they let you enter, they search your car under carriage with mirrors to make sure you don't have any bombs attached. We passed go and entered the properter and after Peter helped himself to the marigold leis at the front entry, we took the shuttle down to the beach. We had lunch at the beach cafe, while eating, a gentleman came by and ordered a beer, it turned out he was from Detroit and was living in India because of his wife's job. He was on vacation with his family. He kindly took a picture of us all. We headed back to the taxi and our driver/guide who drove like crazy to get us back to the ship on time. His boss kept calling and asked when we would return as they were getting worried . . . . We got back in plenty of time!
