The plane that started it all!

Today we didn't leave for town until 1PM. By the time we rode the bus and the Metro, it was 2:30.

We started with National History Museum and did one floor. "Reef Adventure" was playing at the iMax here; excellent story about the demise of coral reefs worldwide and the effect on marine life. The colors in the scenes were breathtaking!

We have a ton of photos of the museums at if you're interested.

At the Air & Space Museum, the iMax was showing "Rescue" - which showed the devastation in Haiti after the earthquake and told the story of 3 people who aided in the humanitarian efforts there. It was heartbreaking to see the devastation but heart-warming to see how the world responded.

We toured part of each floor here but I think we'll go back at some point to finish. We still have Arlington, the Holocaust Museum, Ford's Theater, the Spy Museum, and the Old Post Office to see. Time is running out!!!

Our trip back was uneventful; we're getting really good at this mass transit thing! One difference was that the buses don't run on Sunday after 5PM. Since it was 7:30PM when we left the museum, you can imagine that we didn't make that schedule. So at College Park Station, we took a cab to bring us home.

It's nice to be home early.
