Very happy to be camping where we have WiFi access. Awoke to thunder and lightening that plagued most of the state during the night. With the rain I worked most of the day while Bob read a book and Pepper slept. At noon we walked to a little market and deli “on campus” for lunch. Was good to get out.

Late in the afternoon there was some sunshine! It actually looked as if it were clearing. Walked to El Capitan Beach with Pepper where it was very rocky and windy. However, the curve of the coast view was beautiful with the wind churned waves. Just as we turned to come back we were in another rain shower!

Watched a Van Kilmer foreign spy movie before dinner. Large prawns for an appetizer. Pan seared tri-tip and spinach with yet again another Zin, 2003 Ridge Jimsomere.

Awoke on Saturday to very heavy winds and rain although the sky is turning blue. The “rig” is “rocking” so am concerned about going outside. Suspect driving to Santa Barbara may be a harrowing experience too. We will stop at the Ronald Regan Museum on our way to visit our LA friends the Milmeisters in Studio City. The forecast for LA says “sunny”. Let’s hope it is right for a change!
