Put some miles on them there shoes today! Walked the Riverwalk (extensively) & visited the Alamo site as well. The Riverwalk we had also visited yesterday. It is very scenic & interesting. It has two levels, the upper & lower. The lower is right along the San Antonio river & the upper level is actually the street level, which is about a storey & a half higher or so. The river is more like a canal that has been closed in on both sides by stone walls with cement/cobblestone walkways on both sides. Hotels & restaurants also border both sides on both levels (as the hotels are several stories high). I think that this is what the City of Red Deer was scheming to do a couple years ago. I'm glad that the idea went by the wayside, as I think that if they can't take care of what they've got so far, they should hardly tackle something like this. It would cost millions of dollars, plus you would never have the greenery like you do here (and that definitely adds something). Anyway, I'll put that to rest. Tomorrow, I think we're going to hit some outlet malls @ San Marcus & then we're taking in a basketball game between San Antonio Spurs & Phoenix Suns (with Steve Nash/canadian).
