After work today, I thought I'd take some pictures to show you where I work and what I'm near.

Rangers used to have to live in the park and they lived in houses constructed by the CCC. Now, some of those houses are offices and some are empty. Seasonals will be arriving soon and staying in row houses that were just renovated because of termites and such. The hotel is from the 60s and looks more like a motel. There are a couple of dining places in the hotel, as well as a gift shop. I wonder how rustic the cabins are.

I got a kick out of the ferry that crosses the Green River. Had I been staying near the Maple Springs campground, I would have had to take the ferry to and from work every day. And if the river gets too high or low, I would have needed to travel 35 miles around the park to get to and from work! There are two places that ferries cross the river, but no bridges!
