Our stateroom awaits us
| Today we board the Seabourn Pride. Its amazing how all the extra room in our suitcases disappeared and we didn't really purchase anything. We decided it was from our items swelling up from the heat and humidity that made everything in our suit cases larger. Our taxi delivered us to the port and we quickly made our way through all the stops - security, immigration and finally we arrive at the ship, proceed to the Magellan Room for photos and welcome lunch. We immediately made our way to the Skye Bar where we met Nelson, the man who will take care of Rick's bar needs for the next 18 days. As always, the champagne is flowing freely during embarkation and everyone is gathered on deck for emergency drill then for the exciting sail-away @ 5 PM. Dress for the evening is Resort Casual and the meal in the main Dining Room is better than I ever remembered from the last cruise. We dined with Peter & Diana this evening then proceeded to the Skye Bar after so the boys could puff on their cigars, while the girls sipped their fresh mint tea. |
