OUR CAMPSITE IN GULFPORT

We moved into Mississippi today and we are staying at Southern Oaks RV in Gulfport, MS for 4 nights. We had a problem with our awning and got an appointment Friday morning at Reliable RV to have it looked at. They were able to fix it in ½ hour—they were very quick, friendly and fair—they were certainly reliable.

We drove through Gulfport and west along the beaches on the gulf. They have beautiful white sand on the beaches. We stopped at The Shrimp Basket for lunch. Terry had fresh red snapper and Peggy had a fish taco. It was a great meal. Fresh seafood is better when you are along the gulf than it is at home, part of that is undoubtedly the atmosphere.

Saturday we drove east along the gulf through Biloxi. There are lots of casinos in Biloxi and more beautiful white sand beaches. We’re going to spend Sunday at the campground in Gulfport and then head toward Alabama -- Gulf Shores area.
