Arrived in Milan after a semi-stressful flight- due to the fact they changed my seat to 31b.....and anyone that has flown with me KNOWS I like the front of the plane! Dealt with it with a glass of vino and a tiny pill that put me to
to sleep for a good part of the trip! Arrived in Milan, headed for the "treni" and now I sit on the malpensa express to stationze cordona. The pic I took on the train is truly not my best shot! But due to the long flight, hell, I am feeling pretty darn relaxed. After walking around for about an hour looking for the hostel, i decided on a cab! The weather is spectacular, and I will continue this entry upon my arrival at the hostel!! I could not check in , so I walked the streets and got a bit familiar with the area. The hostel was questionable at first, but ended up to be quite the happening place! I met two guys, mike from tarpon springs and ahmad from Miami . We tooled around after I got my room ( sharing with 5 other beds) mixed dorm! Very clean and comfortable! There was a huge happy hour here at the hostel with free pasta and other apps, very good and free with purchase of a drink....must have been 75 or more people! I chose to go to bed by 8 pm as I was wiped out. Today, I am checking in the hotel rio, where I will have my own room.....I wake up way too early to share a room with late sleepers!! The hotel is about 10 min walking from here, doesn't have the personality of Ostello Bello (hostel), but I think it will be a better fit....and I am always welcome to hang out here at the hostel! Today I will walk, visit the duomo and see the Last Supper....if I can get in!
