The title is slightly tongue-in-cheek - there's very little to Balmorhea & we're not even in town.

Today was about a 6-hour drive from Deming, NM, to Balmorhea, TX. We stopped to eat our pre-packed noon snack & Judi drove most of the afternoon trip. We stopped about a half hour from Balmorhea & David took over driving again. Within just a few minutes, we hit gusty winds & blowing dust. Judi was very glad David was driving then. Ha!

Why would we put a picture of rock fences in El Paso on our Journal? We lived in El Paso for a few years in the late 80s & our home had rock fences - & a giant rock wall at the back of the property. Almost all the fences in the housing areas & even businesses are made of rock. I guess there's plenty of rock in the area & labor is fairly cheap. Just something unique about the El Paso area.

We again enjoyed driving through the desert & this rv park is nice in a desert sort of way. We're just here overnight so even though we have hookups we've stayed hitched up.

More later ...
