Our last day here in Zion was a quiet one. After cleaning the camper, we sat in the sunshine, reading. We took Mike out to lunch for our last fling together at the Sol Café, where the sandwiches were excellent.
In the afternoon, we took a ride down to Big Bend, and was able to find one parking spot, where John spotted a Turkey Vulture way up high. We also stopped at a small waterfall that we had missed on previous drives. Had a quick bite of supper, and took a walk to South Campground. When we got to Mike’s, an astronomy friend of his brought some of his photos, and we shared on Mike’s computer – what beautiful shots. Scott also shared several PowerPoint presentations that he has prepared from Hubbell Telescope shots – they were breathtaking!
It was a lovely evening for a walk, and when we got back, Watchman was lit with the last rays of the sun – an Alpine Glow. It lasted only a few seconds, but it was beautiful – a fitting end to a wonderful time in Zion.
