We changed the linen on the bed this morning, then straightened things in the rest of the RV, before getting outside for a nice walk.
We waited much of the day for a phone call from A & A Tire Service, letting us know that our replacement tire was ready.
We took a walk around the resort this morning, taking pictures to share with you good readers.
Marilyn fixed us a bite of lunch but we didn’t want to eat too much because we had a great plan for dinner.
In the town of Bandera, Texas, about 26 miles away, there is a Cowboy Bar called the “11th Street Bar”.
On Wednesday nights, they invite you to bring your own steak and cook it yourself.
They provide you with hot grills, all of the tools needed, along with a huge variety of spices. You cook your own steak on the grill.
Side dishes such as salad, baked potatoes, and hot rolls are provided at a cost of $6.00 per person.
Cold beer and live music are part of the experience, too, along with a huge dance floor.
There is a second small dance floor with a sign which advises "Nude Dancing Only".
Bras and a few panties are hung from the walls and ceiling at different places in the bar, which is mostly only small buildings and a huge area outdoors.
Marilyn & I drove into Kerrville to pick up a few items, including a good steak to put on the grill in Bandera.
Marilyn picked up a new pot for her cactus, along with a bag of potting soil.
She tinkered around outdoors with her plants while I looked at different routings for our trip back to Missouri.
It appears now that we will leave on Sunday, as planned, and drive to Perrin, Texas.
Friends Mike & Sandy plan to meet us there and we’ll all go to dinner at a Mexican restaurant, in order to have social time together.
We sure look forward to seeing these good friends again.
From Perrin, Texas, we will move north to Oklahoma City for one night.
Bob & Janet will then move east to Springdale, Arkansas while we continue northeast to Carthage, MO for one night.
This plan will put us in Hannibal, with family and friends, on April 4th, a few days before the Easter weekend.
This evening we left the resort with Bob & Janet and drove to Bandera. We found the Cowboy Bar which had lots of bikers present, all having a good time.
We too, quickly got into the spirit of things and found a tall table with stools to sit on. Bob & I went after ice cold beers.
We watched the fun, listened to the music, and waited for the grill fires to be lit so that we could grill our steaks.
Then it began to rain so Bob & I joined the crowd grabbing umbrellas for the tables. We laughed as we huddled under the meager, minimum protection from the rain.
Then it rained harder and we were getting quite wet.
That was enough! We grabbed the steaks and table service we had brought with us and headed back toward Kerrville.
We selected Billy Gene’s restaurant as our new dinner site and enjoyed a good meal.
Now we are back in our own RV’s, relaxing and happy that we had a fine time today.
Life is Good!
P.S. Pictures of Bandera Cowboy Bar will be posted tomorrow morning, so check back on this page.
