It was heart-filling seeing our family last night. The grandsons: Brady, nearly 15, 8th grade, 6 feet 2 inches tall; Tanner, nearly 12, 6th grade, and 5'4" or so...are so grown up and big and changing. It's a familiar tale to other grandparents, I am sure, that haven't seen the grandchildren in four months.

Today Glen took the pick up to Ft. Smith to have it serviced. Mission accomplished. Other things on the list included: picking up light fixture for the dining room; picking up paint for the bathroom; stopping at WalMart for bug spray (for spiders in the mh); made appointment for the motorhome.

The motorhome's dash air conditioning is not blowing out cool/cold air. The unit is 7 years old and nothing has ever been done/checked on the a/c system. Hopefully it is a case of only needing the freon charged.

Jeff, Trisha's friend, a pilot, needed to fly a mechanic from Ft. Smith to Tulsa to work on a plane. Glen was invited to ride along. They left at four for the 30-minute flight. The mechanic did his magic; and they were back in Ft. Smith by seven.

Glen and Jeff then disassembled a light fixture in the breakfast nook (at Trisha's) and then hung a new light fixture.

Trisha has two more new light fixtures to replace old ones. She has paint chosen for the master bath, kitchen/breakfast nook, and dining room.

She has been so busy with the National Teacher's certification that the home update jobs have been put on the back burner. Hopefully Glen and Jeff can finish with the light fixtures tomorrow as well as some painting.

What did Gayla do, you might ask? Answer: lots of reading! caught up on the Tivo-ed "Chopped" programs. A great day.
