| A week ago we pulled out of Top of Georgia Airstream Park moving 60 miles down the road to Cumming to be near our son and his family for a few weeks before hitting the road for our travels this spring and summer. Now when you have been sitting for nearly 4 months hitch itch really sets in and you are ready to roll down the road to most anywhere. We were excited to hitchup and head out. We left the beautiful North Georgia Mountains and TOG nestled in the foothills of those mountains. We were surrounded by nature and mostly peace and quite. We left a beautiful spacious campsite. Spring was bursting out all over. Our move was to a urban campground. We are right in a busy urban area in the northern burbs of Atlanta. We are parked on granite gravel and packed in liked sardines! Yes, spring is bursting out all over here also....everything is covered in green pine pollen! The dogwoods are beautiful and the cherry blossoms have been outstanding (the good part). But change is good....and this is one step closer to our travels this spring and summer. We have been busy working on wrapping up another tax season. Hopefully this week will do it.....all our return information is in so its up to us to get it done. We have had great fun with the our 3 grandsons and we are excited to be here for Easter with them. We will spend some time getting things organized and cleaned for travel before hitting the road in a few weeks. Our plans for travel this year will keep us in the Southeast. We plan to spend some time along the coast where we can enjoy the beach and fresh seafood. Then time with family...first Tom's family in Tennessee and then a birthday get together with my sister and husband. We also plan to explore East Tennessee, Western Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. We don't have a set route or plan......we will play it by ear.....exploring and enjoying the natural beauty of this great country as well as museums, communities, National Parks and Civil War exhibits. Before we head out I will try to post a few more blogs about some of our favorite places or things we have done so far on this great adventure of ours.
