We have met out goal. We have now RVs in all of the 48 contiguous United States. Sure have used a lot of gas to do so. Have stayed under $4.00 per gallon so far but Arizona is $4.00 plus so next fill up will do it. Trip from Ft Stockton was almost boring except for going through El Paso, TX. Phyllis had the pleasure of driving through and got in the left lane (truck lane) going 65 mph, and the GPS kept saying stay left and, well, 20 minutes later, finally made the left turn. After that, it was either flat and dry or mountains. Stopped in Demming, New Mexico, for two days because we had heard that was a big snowbird area. Still trying to figure what the attraction was. Took a side trip up in the mountains. Pulled into Apache Junction KOA on Friday evening and discovered that the closet pole in Dale's closet had broken and all clothes were in the floor. Got directions to Home Depot and fixed that. Saturday was laundry day. Thought we got up at 6:00 only to discover it was really 5:00 am. We are on Mountain Standard time here. Really messes up the TV schedule. Went to grocery store and then it started to rain. It never rains here except when we get in town. And with the rain came cold weather, like the coldest it has been here all year!! Saturday night Dale filled the fresh water tank in preparation for going to The Rally and when the water started to come out the overflow he stopped. However, the overflow kept on going and we couldn't get it to stop. It was syphoning itself back out. No way to get it to quit. After we lost about half of the water, it finally went down to a drizzle. A local park resident came on Sunday morning and put on a shut off valve so we could fill up. Now, for the best part. You are suppose to come into the rally with empty grey and black tanks. Something happened to our grey tank valve and we could not dump. So into the Rally with 1/2 tank of grey. Talk about conserving. We have used the old pan in the shower routine and finally gave up and went to Dale's sisters house and took a long shower. Otherwise, things are going great. More about the Rally next time.
