Drove the long drive to Te Anau where we stayed for a few days.. got to feeling like home by the end! A pretty little town set on a lake with views of the snow capped mountains. Found a good pub called the Moose where we spent a lot of our time... or in the hostel lounge watching TV!

Did a day trip to Milford sound which was beautiful.. Snow was forecast but we were lucky to have a clear day.. freezing though! Stopped to take a million photos then had a 2 hour cruise where we saw wild seals and dolphins. The route to Milford involves going through the Homer tunnel which cuts through the mountains. This was hand dug.. rather them than me! Stopped at some rapids where the water had carved the rocks into shapes umimaginable!

Definitely recommend here to everyone!
