AMAZING! The photos don't quite give the place justice but the glaciers were stunning. We started our day climb up the glacier at 9 a.m, well prepared in 5 layers with some crampons (spikes) for your boots. We were lucky to have a clear day as there had been torrential rain the day before and it rains 200 days a year! The first part of the climb up to the glacier was the hardest but well worth it. Once you get on the ice you have to stomp your feet so the spikes grip the ice... some parts were pretty scary when you saw the steep drops down the ice. The glaciers are blue due to the way they are formed.
By the time we got back at 4 we were pretty tired, so we had a power nap... 3 hours later we went out for a pizza as it was too much effort to cook!
