Singapore is a multi-cultural melting pot and has a lot of attractions to offer its visitors but it is overwhelming trying to figure out how to travel around the city via subway, bus, or taxi. So, we opt to stay near the cruise ship terminal. After a morning of Skyping and shopping in the HarbourFront Center, we decide to walk the boardwalk across to Sentosa Island. Sentosa, meaning “tranquility” in Malay, is a popular island resort in Singapore. We casually stroll across the boardwalk taking pictures of all the tropical foliage and flowers. After getting lost on the island looking for the mono-rail we stumbled across a familiar name: Chili’s! So instead of buying tickets for transportation back to the cruise ship terminal, we opted to spend the rest of our Singapore dollars on quesadillas and a pitcher of margaritas and walk back instead! Well worth it that’s all we can say. We were unable to stay to watch the Sentosa Crane Show as we have to be aboard the ship by 9 pm. Instead we watch the show from the deck of the ship. The show is mechanical cranes that dance to music using water and lights for body and wing movements.
