From Mayport, we drove to visit friends who live near Port Orange, FL. Ed and Clark were USAFA classmates and we take any opportunity we can to visit them. This visit was not exactly what we anticipated and I hope we haven’t worn out our welcome. The Lynches live in a fly-in community and have a hangar attached to their house. We parked on the paved area in front of their hangar and have parked there in the past. This time, as Clark was getting the motor home situated, he managed to break a water line. A plumber was there before too long and got it fixed. But, in the night, his fix split and we awoke to another pool of water. He couldn’t come back, so Clark and Ed bought what they needed and did a proper fix. Thank goodness for good and patient friends. Everything thing finally dried out and got back to normal. The morning we left, on the 12th, we moved the motor home so Ed could get the plane out of the hangar and he and Clark took a flight. Ed built his plane and it's beautiful. It's amphibious and they did a couple of landings on a nearby lake, which I think was a new experience for Clark.
