|The day we left the Blakeney State Park near the Spanish Fort (just on the lake) marsh area across from Mobile, we scooted down to Fairhope. Jean & Chuckles enjoyed the great Park by the ocean while I hunted out the nifty spots downtown including Section Street (mostly antique shops)and the French Quarter - lots of balconies, petites boutiques et al. Wonderful! We both agree Fairhope along with Destin are now our favorite places! We were there only one afternoon and fell in love with the beauty of the town. Jean had easily driven the RV down town to the scenic pier within walking distance of the main street.
Friday the 16th, tomorrow St. Paddy’s Day. Yes, I finally found the RV’s and our site #15, but there’s someone there and they planned to stay another week. After waiting an hour we were able to park the Chief for four days. We are now in Mississippi State Parc Shepard.
We had left a Wallie-Mart in Albama early on this morning - stayed there because where we had been at Blakeney State Park, east of Mobile, we were told that there was only a site available for 1 night. So, needing diesel anyway, we headed to a “Wallie” for cheaper fuels and a place to stay the night.
Setting the GPS for Theodore, south of Mobile, we steered to a warehouse where a new toilet seat & cover awaited us! No longer do we have to carry someone else’s ugly “whatevers”. No matter how well or how often I scoured it, I could picture s.o not so pretty
