Venice day 2/3

Well we were supposed to leave Venice a day earlier, but there was still sooo much more to do and see (I might add that I did spend rather a lot of time looking at the shops - opps!), so we added another day onto the journey and went to explore the rest of the Island.

we were going to originally take a gondola, however despite the off season there are swarms of tourists already and there were traffic jams on the canal, so instead we opted to sit outside in the front seats of the water bus and do the tour from there, with the added bonus of getting on and off as we saw interesting looking places, this turned out to be a much better and safer option as at least the boat wasn't tippy - eekk.

At one of the stops we got off at , we walked around a few canals and went over bridges here n there and ended up in a piazza and low n behold, the Da Vinci exhibit was on show in the very pretty Church in the square - I was most pleased as I missed the one in Florence :)

Venice is a unique, charming, historical and wonderful place to visit, its reeking with historical facts n sinister goings on.

I am glad we did this visit and took the extra day to discover the back streets.

Venice, is a place you will want to go back to many, many times.

Graham learned what is and how to use a "Bidet" lol
