Friday 2nd March 2012 Today we were all extremely sleepy as not really slept on the bus and waited for an hour before we could check into our rooms. It was really humid today which did not help with our tiredness. We spend the morning trying to organise ourselves and go through the options of activities we could partake. After a while we decided on the park for today. Lunchtime came and we trotted off to the supermarket to get some snacks then all had a ride on the back of the motorbike with JP our tour guide. We then blew up balloons and decorated Katie's room. It was so funny, we had silly hats and glasses on and confetti and string everyone and all hid in her room. When she arrived back we surprised her which was really nice and she loved the photo of us all. We then set off to walk to the park as the thunder started to rumble. JP went down on the bike with Volker and found out the park had closed due to flooding so we about turned and played card games for the rest of the afternoon at the hostel. At 8pm we went out for dinner for Katie's birthday. Here I bumped into Georgia and Lisa again so we had a bit of a catch up which was great. I had a large portion of Spag bowl for dinner but really miss the food back at home. Its just not the same here. Saturday 3rd March 2012 Was so good to sleep in. I spent the day wondering around the town. Although it is extremely small and not really happening. A few shops, about 3 restaurants and bars. Bit of a strange town and I guess a stop off for tourists for national parks, snorkeling and white water rafting. Today the weather was wet but humid, we are now in the rainy season so I am guessing this is the last of my sun tan. Looking forward to leaving this town tomorrow and seeing whats next.
