| We had a erudite group of traveling companions. Jon had been in government service during the Vietnam War, Janet has traveled to 109 countries, Roy has published a book on voting machines, Wendell has installed computor networks around the world, and Wilfred and Susan are in non profit fundraising. Rachel and Robert are lawyers, Shaun is a physician, Joan, a landscape architect, David, an investment banker who served as a marine in Vietnam. We all brought life and travel experiences. The diverse group became very congenial and most solicitous of each other. Best of all, Toby Ann and I had a wonderful time together. We were great friends before we left for Vietnam and we became great traveling companions. If one of us made a suggestion the other was fast to agree. We "yinged" and "yanged", you should excuse the Oriental expression. My journal is complete, our suitcases are now unpacked but ready for ???? |
