It was a bright sunny morning with only a few clouds in the sky so Judy and I stopped at the San Diego Sky Diving Airport just down the road from the campground.

We figured what the heck so we decided to try it. You know what they say..you only live once. In the case of Sky Diving, if anything goes wrong that is a very true statement. Once we were up in the air it took 15 minutes or so to reach altitude. Once we were high enough we were pushed out of the plane and we free fell for what seemed like a eternity but it was only a minute. When it was time to pull the rip cord to open our chutes...our chutes did in fact open and we gradually decended back from where we started. It was a thrill of a life time.

Now if you know Judy and I you all know that the second paragraph is total fiction. We, in fact did stop at the airport and watch as they loaded up in the plane and take off. We have driven past the little airport several times since we came but this time we parked the Jeep and watched them through the entire process from loading to the landing. If only we were younger we would try it. Ya, right, in the Army, I considered joining Special Forces but they said I had to JUMP out of a good functional airplane and I just couldn't see myself doing that. BUT, if you're doing it for fun that may be a different story.

I also included a photo of our little girl, Cricket. Judy loves to take pictures of the dogs but our Jaxon runs and hides as soon as he hears the camera being turned on. There is something about that "bing" that scares him. It could be that he knows that at times there is a bright flash that follows. ????

That's it for today and I hope you didn't really believe that Judy and I went Sky Diving.

Happy Camping,
