On Saturday, the 10th, we showered and that's a production in the MH. The shower is usually filled with the litter box, clothes and miscellaneous other things so that has to be emptied, cleaned out and readied for the shower!! The water heater takes about 20 minutes to heat up the water. Wow, did we feel refreshed.
We were ready to face the day!!!
We decided to start off with an easy walk called the Riverside Walk. The trail parallels the Virgin River and is paved the entire way. What I had forgotten is that the trail does go up and down more than I would have like for starters and it's 2.2 miles long. Oh well.... I was thrilled to see a Great Blue Heron along the river bank. We also saw many deer in the woods along the drive.
Since it was rainy on Sunday, we decided to drive to the east side of the park. [Our campsite is on the west side of the park, very near the town of Springdale, UT.] We were fortunate to see Bighorn sheep, turkeys and deer along the way.
Our weather started out very warm and sunny but quickly changed to rain, sleet, hail and even snow. We had a snowstorm overnight on the 13th. The morning views were so awesome that even pictures don't do it justice. Hopefully I can show you just what beauty we saw.
This park is absolutely magnificent, it is impossible to describe what we are seeing and experiencing. So I will rely on the pictures we've taken as we make our way around the park. Also I can't seem to catch up in writing my journal so I'll show you through my pictures and try catching up later.
