We drove the two hours down to Tulsa and got to visit with Kit and Tami. Oh, and of course the dogs,Scrappy and Milo. Scrappy and Milo didn't get to go out to dinner.
Kit had made some phone calls to find a restaurant that served vegan meals. He found this place called 'The Local Table'. Well, what he didn't take into account was that this was Tulsa, OK. I'm not sure Tulsa grasps the idea of vegan yet. Also, the chef at this restaurant had a bit of a problem determining the difference between black beans and kidney beans. Black bean chili turned into kidney bean chili. And who doesn't mind waiting 2 hours to be served, with two of the four dishes being cold? It's okay, it all worked out and we had a meal and a nice visit. It really was more about the company, and less about the food.
The drive back to our new home was long and dark. The trailer was toasty warm despite the cold weather.
