We visited the Cripple Creek Heritage Center for information about the area, and were totally surprised. It is much more than a just a visitors center. It is more like a museum.
It is a new state-of-the-art interpretive center with a lot of information about gold mining with displays that showcase captivating historic photography, flora and fauna, the area’s world-class dinosaur discoveries and Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain.
It is a 11,600-square-foot facility built in a style that is reminiscent of historic Cripple Creek. It has three different floors to explore. We enjoyed our visit much. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story.
