| Headed from Zanzibar, through Malawi and Zambia into Zimbabwe. Stayed at Lake Malawi for 2 nights.. pretty dead in the place we stayed. The more happening place was further south but we didn't have time to go there. Left there and headed to Zambia for two nights, where against my better judgement, both of us did a Gorge Swing. It basically consists of a 53 metres freefall followed by a swing across the gorge above the trees. Truly the most terrifying feeling we ever experienced... got a dvd to watch our terrified faces when we get home (no dvds around here). At this campsite, we also got the first hot shower we'd had since Nairobi.. the luxury!! Went to visit the Victoria Falls... really amazing. There's no point in me trying to describe it. They rent out raincoats for you to wear as the spray rises so high |
