| >This was the day! Woke up at 6:00 A.M. Left home around 8:30 A.M. and drove to Iowa. Mary and Marissa, our daughters, helped send us off at a very early hour. Stayed at an exquisite casino in Iowa City called Riverside Casino & Golf Resort. Perhaps it wasn't a great idea to have been so spoiled the first night, even though it was appreciated. This made the next night a bit tougher to take. Going from "Pretty Woman" to "A Gal who goes Inner City", or something was how it felt. Back to the hotel..The window and shower curtains were electric. The entire bathroom was enclosed by glass except for the entry room door. The oversized shower left a person bare for viewing if desired with a simple flip of a switch. Just one simple touch and there went the curtain. (This just seemed a bit extreme for the average Joe Blow coming out to play at the casino). Good restaurant where we had a tasty dinner. Left at 9:00 AM Cutie,(thats me, Laura) $32.00 ahead after playing slots a few hours. |
