It was darn right cold this morning. It was in the mid 30's. My hands were hurting getting things ready outside for our trip to the east coast. (are we not in Florida?) We drove down to Fort Pierce, which is about 50 miles below Melbourne on the coast. We (I) wanted to visit the US Navy Seals Museum there. It turned out that some emergency event was taken place and they closed the whole area off. The area was surrounded by Fire & Rescue and Police. The museum is right on the ocean and it appeared something was happening on the beach. From all the boats and helicopters sitting outside, it would have been a neat place to tour. (it's a guy thing)
The temps finally got to the 60's with clear skies, YAHOO. We drove up the barrier island coast line on highway 1A1. In some places, the island was only as wide as the road. It was a very pretty drive. After settling in at the Outdoor RV Resorts on Melbourne Beach, we met up with our friends Craig and Laurie from Lynchburg, at the 'locals favorite' restaurant, Ichabod's Dockside Bar and Grill for some fresh seafood. They are enjoying a couple of weeks of warm weather also. We took on a movie (Sherlock Holmes) and then finished the night off with a glass of wine at their place.
Enjoy the pic's. I added some for yesterday also.
